1. Backline Technician/Driver vacancy for UK/Europe tour

    A vacancy has arisen for a BACKLINE TECHNICIAN/DRIVER for a UK/European tour, working with a 5 piece band.

    Person specification :

    - A musical and/or technical background
    - Working knowledge of setting up drums, guitar amps, keyboards, DI boxes, microphones etc.
    - Awareness and comprehension of basic electrics and Health and Safety.
    - Physically fit with good stamina and the ability to work under pressure
    - An outstanding, safe driver with a clean licence. Capable and legally permitted to drive vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.
    - A friendly, responsible team player who is also able to work on his/her own initiative.

    Job details :
     
    You will be responsible for driving a large van carrying backline to concert venues. You will load in and set up the equipment ahead of soundcheck and carry out technical checks and repairs where needed. During each show you will be on hand to troubleshoot any technical issues and assist the sound engineer & tour manager. After each concert you will pack down the equipment and load the vehicle.

    This is a freelance (self employed) part time role so the succesful applicant will be responsible for their own tax and National Insurance.

    Pay is £300 - £350 per week depending on experience.

    Accomodation is provided each night (Non sharing) and an evening meal is also generally provided on work nights.

    Each leg of the tour begins and ends in Shropshire so the successful candidate must be able to reach this area to collect and drop off the tour vehicle.

    The next leg of the tour begins the second week of November and runs until around the second week of December.
